Commonly examples include naturopathy,chiropractic ,herbalism , traditional chinese medicine, Unani, Ayuarveda,mediation,yoga, biofeedback,hypnosis, homeopathy, acupuncture and diet-based therapies, in addition to a range of other practices.term complementary and alternative medicine, or CAM which has become standard to be used.

Alternative medicines have proved itself as one of the pioneer healer for several ailments without causing any side effects. Alternative medicines have their origin since ancient times, and they were considered as prime medicines.
